03 - third song
click to listen - 03
I had a vague melodic idea for this and got all wound up thinking I'd write some words and record them in a practice room. But I don't really have any lyrical ideas. I thought about "the tea in china / makes me kinda / weak in the knees" and realized I didn't want to make more words like that and record them.
So here is another 2 part instrumental song idea sketch!

02 - second song
Here is the next thing I made.
02, click to listen
This is not unlike something I would like a band to play.
All the bass sounds in Logic suck so I used my Nord Lead. It is not easy to get repetitive notes off a keyboard like you would on a real bass. (You have to lift your finger off the key to repress it rather than just strumming the string again.) I did some fancy split keyboard / octave setting to be able to do it. It still doesn't sound like a real bass, but closer to a real bass than I thought that keyboard could get.

01 - first song
I finally obtained a working copy of Logic, which I am still learning to deal with, and recorded my first song, appropriately titled "
01." Stay tuned here as I upload each and every thing that crosses my mind.
What is exciting to me about this is that it uses sounds internal to Logic, mainly the drums, as well as real instruments plugged into my computer, my farfisa organ painstakingly hand-imported into Japanistan, and a guitar.
Your comments very much appreciated!
